1. Who we are

Olwyz operates a technology platform that enables users to list items, communicate, and connect for potential transactions. We are not the seller of items listed by users.

2. Information we collect

• Account & identity: mobile number (OTP login), name, email, location, profile photo.
• Marketplace activity: listings, offers, orders/sold status, reviews, saved items.
• Communications: in-app chat messages and related metadata (timestamps, read status).
• Device & technical data: device tokens for push notifications, app version, IP address, logs needed for security and performance.
• Optional permissions: location (for nearby listings), camera/gallery (for listing photos), notifications.

3. How we use information

• Provide login, listings, chat, offers, reviews, and notifications.
• Connect buyers and sellers and show relevant content.
• Maintain safety, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.
• Improve and secure the platform.

4. How information is shared

• With other users: your public profile, listings, and chat messages are visible to users you interact with, as part of normal marketplace use.
• Service providers: hosting, database, image storage (e.g. ImageKit), push notification delivery (e.g. Firebase), analytics/security tools—only as needed to operate the service and under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal & safety: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or when necessary to protect users, Olwyz, or the public.
• We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data retention

• We retain data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service.
• If you delete your account, we deactivate your profile and remove or anonymise data where practicable.
• Chat messages and transaction-related records may be retained after a listing is sold or removed, or after account deletion, where needed for dispute handling, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of our Terms.
• Backups may persist for a limited period before deletion.

6. Your choices & rights

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable), you may:

• Access and update profile information in the app.
• Withdraw optional permissions in device settings.
• Request account deletion from Profile settings or via our Delete Account page.
• Contact us to raise privacy questions or complaints.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children

Olwyz is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International processing

Your data may be processed in India and, where applicable, by service providers in other countries with appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected in-app or on this page. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
